Chef Candace is a private chef, self-proclaimed Foodie and Award Winning Social Event Planner who resides in Chicago.
Candace's love for cooking began when she was a little girl watching her mom cook delicious meals everyday. She would take notes and still to this day has recipes that she created as a little girl from her mom's meals.
Being a mother herself, Candace naturally cooked for her children, but her passion for cooking began in 2016 when her mother passed away from diabetes/high blood pressure/kidney failure. “Cooking became therapeutic for me and it became very important for me to eat healthier and the way to do that was to cook healthy meals. I found ALL of my mother’s recipes & decided to create these delicious meals for others to experience {adding my touch of flavor of course}.” ~Chef Candace
Being in the wedding industry required Candace to attend many catering tastings and networking events at many of Chicago's finest restaurants. It wasn't too long that she began blogging about her many food experiences on her blog, SocialinCHICity.
After seeing her friends and family happy after eating her food, she decided it was time to share her "flavors" and indulge others in their homes. She began taking cooking classes to enhance her culinary skills, reading cook books and studying recipes.
Candace is committed to providing her clients with exceptional food and service. She often deals with clients whose privacy and confidentiality are imperative. She prides herself as being a great listener. It is important to her to listen to her client’s needs, desires, and then brainstorms with them to make sure they have a delicious culinary experience.
